Review by Miss N (*****Moderate Spoilers*****)

I think I’m getting old. The pothead slapstick isn’t that funny to me anymore. Just like in my personal relationships, I expected too much. But the actions sequences were pretty cool!

First off I thought that David Allen Greer was in the movie. Turns out it’s the same dude that played the bodyguard in Knocked Up.  I was sold by the stoney humor in 40 Year Old Virgin and the comedy mentioned before. I remember Seth Rogan as the adorable curly haired freak and James Franco as the HOT freak in the short lived Freaks and Geeks.  Its great when you can se the evolution of an actor to a writer. I think Seth is on a great path…I didn’t leave the theatre with a lasting expression, except for the “Thug Life” tag line, and I didn’t have to watch the movie to appreciate that.  I think it’s the perfect blockbuster night movie.

The plot is far fetched, but I appreciate the action twist that is often missing in a pot smoker’s movie. Let’s not kid ourselves, that’s what it is.  The species of weeds discussed are accurate, which I also appreciate, but Up in Smoke this is not.

I wish that I was writing a different type of review. One where I dropped a few good one liners, and it was cool, because the whole movie was made of good one liners, but I can’t remember one if my life depended on it.

One thing though, BFF will have a whole new connotation…Sadly, the ending was the only part I liked, that and the slushy scene.
