Book 2 of 2. The exciting conclusion to the Homecoming Adventure! I must say that I was looking forward to this book, along with Book 1 as we all know how Star Trek: Voyager ended. We all longed to know what happened to everyone, how they adjusted, and to believe that the adventure continues. Obviously, one must be a fan to read this book and for those that long for what Voyager was, should be in for a treat here.

Did I already give away my feelings? Maybe not. Allow me to tell you that there is depth to this story, the adventure is daring and the danger is real. A Borg Plague has broken out and the crew of the Voyager is believed to be the perpetrators said plague or at the very least, the carriers to this frightening plague. Seven of Nine is in trouble as she is an ex-Borg and the EMH is believed to be involved in a rebellion of Holograms all through out the Earth. Our crew is separated and no one wants to listen. Seven of Nine, Icheb and the EMH are arrested and Starfleet is far from human in their treatment. Starfleet is frightened at the prospect of having the Borg here on Earth and Seven could be involved in this plague. Janeway has no one to turn to and in the final moments, old friends return to provide help and the old nemesis to the Borg returns to give it to them one more time!

This is a rip-roaring adventure with the stakes very high. There are a few moments where you might find yourself cheering out loud and you might find yourself believing that you are watching a good episode of Voyager. I find little fault with this story and it moves along very well. All of the Characters are placed to excellent use and all are involved in the conclusion. The story is a great set-up to a possible continuation and it is clearly implied that more waits.

I rate this story a 4½ out of 5 Federation Seals.
