June 19, 2005

The family went out to see the Long Beach Armada take on the Yuma Scorpions of the new Golden Baseball League. The atmosphere at Blair Field was good, lots of entertainment for the kids and it is clear that the league is targeting families, not a bad thing for us!

The teams are very much minor league - the players are excellent, but frankly, the level of play was equal to that of Class A ball - such as the Adelanto Mavericks or the Cucamonga Quakes

Happy Father's Day to one and all!

June 18, 2005 - Another month into the Organizer role for SEIU 660 and the experience is thrilling and humbling at the same time. It amazes me as to how arrogant (and stupid) management can be - it is as such to hide its own incompetence and lack thereof. Such is life, just makes it easier for me to win my cases! Life's not fair, but someone has to do it!

I just traded A-Rod and Washburn to my opponent for Dontrelle Willis, Brian Roberts, and Edgar Renteria . . . No, I wasn't drinking but I must have been on something. Oh well, I need the pitching, just hope the guy pitches well to warrant the trade.

June 17, 2005 - I played the day doing legislative visits and I had the opportunity to speak with California Assembly Member Rudy Bermudez and I found him to be an intelligent and well-versed assembly member - he knew the details on our topics and he even spat out some shared stories as well real solutions to saving money in government. More to follow on this legislative visit and well as our visit to State Senator Martha Escutia's office that same day.
